Hello people,
I'm designing switchgear for a residential estate, of about 60 houses, specifically the protection for the incomer. Is there any provision in the British Standard that advises on diversity for such a large number of household units?

In the UK most DNO's allow 2 or 3 kW per dwelling as long as there is no electric heating.
so 60 x 2 = 120. the next up standard size of transformer is 200kVA.
Can’t imagine electric heating will be a requirement on this one ?

No, but air-con may be an issue. I know the OP says that they use British standards but I think there will be a big difference between a standard UK house and a Kenya one.

Yeah, thanks a lot for this, the weather is not too extreme here and the cold and warm days are tolerable without electric devices.
I was thinking on the lines of say, NEC 220.84, if there's any document in the British Standards that may be an equivalent.
