My negotiations with the DNO continues.
Last year WPD told me there was no capacity for generation at my property without significant upgrades. Apparently the overhead conductor is relatively small and the loading on the network in the area is low. The combination of these two factors means that the volt rise caused the installation of any generation would exceed the permitted limits.

After some to and fro, their latest position is that I can install 16A by 'fit and inform'. They will then carry out necessary upgrades at their expense. The network will then be capable of supporting a massive 3.8kWp of PV.

In previous discussions last year they said that 16A limit applies to the whole installation, not just the export. Is there any way I can convince them otherwise? What methods of export limitation could I propose?

Anything else I can try to get them to allow a bigger array?

You should be able to install as much PV as you wish under G98 as long as the export is limited to 16A per phase. We regularly install 5 or 6 kWp with a battery and G98 inverter. The DNO is notified after the PV system is commissioned.
