Hi There

Just wanted to double check if I have two separate supplies to a cooker and hob which are both hard wired and fed from 2 separate RCBOs do I need to fit two cooker isolators in the new kitchen. Many Thanks

Wiring regulations do not require an isolation switch of any sort on kitchen appliances.
You may like to take the MIs into account when deciding.

I think the Scottish building regulations do require accessible means of isolation for white goods like cookers, freezers, washing machines, etc (i.e. not switched socket behind the appliance, etc, that most could not move easily).

True this might not apply down south, but it is still a fairly sensible rule.

464.1 requires switching off for mechanical maintenance ie cleaning in the cas of a hob or oven.
Basically all fixed appliances need a means of isolation be it a motor in a factory or a shower in a house.
