Morning,

I’ve got a cheek making this this my first post but...

Can anyone put a rough date these storage heaters? Specifically, do they look post-1974?

They’ve been disconnected but I’m
worried I’ll get face full of asbestos when I take them off the wall. They’re a Heatovent RAJ30 & a Creda 79364TSR24M.

I couldn’t see them on the list of storage heaters with asbestos but I’d be grateful for a second opinion.

Cheers,

Jack

Afaik, they are asbestos free, but the insulation will crumble away looking at the age of them.

The asbestos ones were short, dumpy and sometimes came with a glass shelf on top

And welcome to the forum.

You are fine with those mate, you’ve done the right thing and don’t remove any storage heaters until they have been verified and checked by yourself. I carried out loads of work with storage heaters and safest way to find out is to do the research prior to removal
