Plastic plug will hold a damn sight longer than those tie bases or use Wall Dogs, aside from looking awful the whole lot will just drop down in the event of a fire.

I can’t say I know the difference but professional curiosity has got the better me and would love to know the different ratings between the two ? also all this will be above a suspended ceiling

The fact it is above a suspended ceiling is not relevant correct support is still required.

dont Know why people bother with saddles , just install metal linian clips when putting up conduit
I love to use the plastic coated metal saddles.

For no other reason that it always attracts smartarses with some "how you gonna stop premature collapse" type comment.

If I'm feeling evil I'll string them along how I pay Faries in Leprechaun gold to hold it up in the event of a fire, or "Well, the regs are only a guide"

The more they escalate the bigger idiots they look come the big reveal, I know, I know, there's a word for people like that..?

Not quite sure that this is a PME connection ? and that 10mm earthing conductor is looking very hopeful ?

That be one of them ‘leave it to the homeowner to contact the DNO to reconnect the earth‘ which they probably will never do.
leaving the entire home unearthed until the next rewire in 40 years time

I suspect there's an earth rod somewhere or the system earth is reliant on the gas and water bonding ? SSE are pretty good at coming out for PME connections so I might see if I can use that 10mm to pull a 16mm through to the MET.

I have worked on plenty properties with only the bonding acting as the sole means of earthing in the house, quite often only one of the gas or water connected.
Its one of the first things I look for if I get asked to look at a house where the home owners are complaining they are getting tingling when they tough the metal casing on an appliance or from the kitchen sink or bathroom taps...
