That is an industrial spec dynamo. No open sections,for cooling,so reduced output.
Most of what that fit,has been scrapped or had an alternator grafted on...

Still got a box of bits and tools,from when i was a kid,for setting and adjusting the regulators on these set-ups...the whir,of a pulley spinning on battery current,after a belt snap....the smell of glass paper on hot contacts...

...Now we've got load shedding,and alternators that only output current on overun....nowts really changed...:)
 
reminds me of my old 1953 Matchless 500. dynamo to charge battery, magneto for the spark. both were chain driven.
