Does anyone Know of a silent thermostat?

I am off up north at the start of July to do a Buddhist monastery's PAT testing. The abbot has a heating thermostat in his room that makes too much noise, humming etc and it is disturbing his meditation and he wants me to change it. Does anyone know of a thermostat that is quiet when installed and stays quiet for years.

A local spark replaced it recently and though initially quiet, the new thermostat has become as noisy as the one it replaced.

fit a wireless stat. esp if you find that the existing is a 2 wire one. saves running a 3 core.

Are wireless stats silent?

the wireless stats are totally silent, at least the ones i've come across are. any sound there is is at the boiler. this is because the actual switch is in the receiver, atr the boiler.
