Your pic is not very clear but it looks like single strand twisted pair.
I do not know your equivalent , or what you use for alarm cable.
 
It’s far from the panel but the problem is that the wires were covered in spray insulation and that’s why I didn’t see them originally. So it would take a lot to cut the line from all the insulation.
