Hi everyone

I don’t really post things on here but here goes I’m a qualified spark and have recently passed my testing course I currently work for a company doing commercial and industrial but wouldn’t mind going into domestic but mainly new builds spoke to a few sparks and they all say it’s hard and they wouldn’t. Is there any advice or guidance people on here would like to offer.

Thanks in advance people

From the prices I have been personally offered and heard offered to others, I'd rather do the private domestic work that constitutes much of my work than ever entertain new builds.
You'll need to be first fixing a house in a day on your own, or half a day as a team of 2 or 3 to be earning anything decent. You'll find a lot of guys bragging about large sums per day, but they won't tell you that most of their days are 10-12 hours.

It's a young lad's game for two reasons. They have the energy and drive to get the work done, and they are naive enough to accept the wages and terms.
