Bi, how do I find wich earth it could be?Probably a broken earth wire in the loom from body to the door.
Where would it be located any idea?You might be lucky and be able to see it is broken.
Thanks Brian, I will have a look at drivers door.It's also possible that the problem is with the wiring loom to the driver's door. The functions of the passenger door are often operated by controls on the driver door, some of which are duplicated on the passenger door and the driver's door loom normally suffers much more flexing over the years than that of the passenger door.
Depending on design, there might also be multi pin plugs and sockets in the 'A' pillars, where the door looms plug in, and these can suffer from corrosion if water gets in.
