Hi all,

I'm just after a bit of advice - I'm a DIYer and have some Aurora integrated downlights that have given up the ghost. The ones that are broken are rated at 4.9W and connected using 0.75mm flex to a red connector which connects the downlight to the circuit. I can't tell what wiring is used for the main lighting circuit as i can't see enough of it!

They don't make the same model anymore so I have purchased these from screwfix. They are rated at 4.5W. Am I right in thinking that if I get some 3 core 0.75mm flex then it will be no worse than is presently installed. However, on some forums I have read that the minimum for wiring is now 1mm.

I'm happy taking the old connecter and rewiring it to the new downlight - but what wire to use is my question?

Can anyone advise me on what to use?

Thanks

Will

0.75mm flex is adequate for your purpose.

no problemo. let us know how you get on.

Just because I am stuck at home, and pedantic, I'll mention Tel that the correct comment is "no problema"
