Drill Breakdown

Hello friends.
I use a Black & Decker 710W Drill.
I took a break to get some rest while I was working.
The drill was not working when I wanted to work again.
When I press the button, I read 220v value with the measuring device at the switch output.
The brushes seem to be touching the commutator, but I don't quite understand where the problem is coming from.
How should I proceed to diagnose the problem?
How can I measure motor windings? I have a multimeter

It is a series-wound universal motor. There should be continuity from the switch through one field coil to one brush, from that brush through the armature to the second brush, then from that brush through the other field coil back to the switch.

The resistance reading between the brushes includes the contact resistance between brushes and commutator which is variable and non-linear. If you move the commutator it will might dance around; this is normal. The resistance through each field coil should be low and stable.

Why don't you check the for warranty or any nearest service given by Black & Decker, May be its more helpful and reliable.
Because I'm using Bosch Drill and It's gives different warranty if any issue happen.

Why don't you put it in the bin and buy a new one, they are not expensive and are considered a throw away item for that type of small unit.
