Has it to be boarded?
Yes Needs to be boardedHas it to be boarded?
I thought but I'm not sure you could drill rafters though?Look like 4x2 (95mm x 45mm) rafters to me. Tile baton and roof tiles the other side I imagine.
20 mm max hole through the centers should be fine. Though if the roofer has used 3" nails to fix the tile baton you may come across them!
If the roof has been battened and tiled the id be tempted to drill high of center to avoid the boarders screwing in.Yes Needs to be boarded
Thats how i feel but is it allowedI personally don’t like drilling roof rafters
Due to de rating factors?Also... if there's board going on the top of those rafters... I'd imagine there's some insulation going in there too ? Celotex ? How's that going to work with your cables ?
That was the plan, but now its all changed :/can you not run cables along the top of the wall, on that horizontal timber, then clip up side of rafters?
You can't really tell that from the pictureWhat is the span of them, dimensions between walls and rake of rafter, because they look undersize to me.
