Hi ive been asked to fit a duel fuel cooker, as a spark i can only do the electrical side. What im wanting to know is, is the existing cooker circuit acceptable to attach the new cooker to or do i need to upgrade any part of it, up to now ive only done single electric cookers.

haha yes, no i havnt started the job, all i want to know is if the circuit would need to be upgraded. if not then i don need to take extra parts with me. As i mentioned ive only installed single electric cookers. Actually thought a forum of more experienced electricians may have advice on the matter.

We would have IF you asked a sensible question with all the salient points!!

Here's two of the questions you need answers to mate.
What MCB is there at present
What cable is there at present
Twas just a gentle ribbing, my apologies but this forum is a lot like a site. Given a chance you will be the butt of jokes

well, 6mm cable from 32A MCB is good for up to at least a rating of 12kW.

As a general rule, i don't install or quote for any job without knowing the demand of what i am connecting. So without a rating plate or a manufactures instructions its pretty worthless even worrying about it.
There are some pretty big cookers out there :)
