Hi, i have a dual immersion heater element which is being supplied via 2 separate fcu. These are to be replaced with a horstmann E7 controls. The immersion heaters have 2 separate stats, one element is 2kw & the other is 3kw. My question is which one would be for overnight heating & which one would be for boost? I have had this before & i'm sure it was 3kw for boost & 2kw for overnight. Any idea's

Cheers

That would seem the most logical choice.

Try THIS >>>>>> http://www.southglos.gov.uk/Documents/Leaflets/Immersion Heater.pdf

The physically shorter one would be for boost, but not so easy to check!
However I would then expect the longer one to have more power, but, as said above, logically the lower power would be for the longer period heating and the boost should be quick heating.
