Discuss Earth Leakage test with a Megger MFT1730 in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

well one of my MFTs will measure leakage...but i was never able to get a leakage clamp for it....
if you want a leakage clamp thats reasonably priced...and works OK then theres these:

http://AMECaL ST-9810 Mini AC Leaka...k ...www.amazon.co.uk › ... › Tools & Testers

now, i have one of these...and i`m happy enough with it.....
its 0.1mA resolution
and it goes upto 200A.....

The link doesnt seem to be working Glenn...unless its just my computer thats fooked!!lol

i got mine from the stand they had at harrogate....
they will be at manchester....
and i`l tell you this n all...its exacty the same as the metrel one...except the amecal is £55...the metrel one is £75....

i use a beckmann industrial clamp with the MFT i have that will run it...:

$T2eC16hHJFsFFSDd-BSNBRU0otdRzw~~60_35.jpgthese are not now in production...they have an adjusting wheel and a switch for high and lower current ranges
they wont measure leakage
these can be found on ebay for the £15-£20 mark plus any postage....
and they are very high quality stuff...
the dedicated leakage clamp together with this for the megger 1630 may be a better option....
