Hello,

I'm not an electrician but have been surfing the internet looking for some help with a problem I have and came across this site.

I have an economy 7 heating system about 20 years old controlled by a panel which is set by a digital clock you can programme to come on and off.

However, the digital clock has now gone off the panel, it is blank. I can't reset anything as regards times etc but the red boost digital light is stuck lit up as on, and when I push the reset button it won't go off.

My problem, how do I get the digital clock back, so I can reset? Is it controlled by a battery or anything in a panel that I may be able to change?

Any assistance or suggestion would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks

Tony

I take it this is the controller for your immersion heater in your hot water cylinder,as lenny has said there should be a model number on the front, would recommend getting someone in to replace it as there would be a 24hr supply as well, this is normally your boost, they do have batteries for the clock memory but they are not aa,if its 20 years old it has done well,so would think it needs replacement.

Thank you both for taking the time to reply.

I've got someone coming to have a look at it tomorrow, so hopefully they can fix it at no too great a cost.

Thanks again.

Tony.

GET RID.... 20 years for an I/H timer is bloody good, hard working little buggers..

Replace with a more modern timer....bet it doesn't last 20 years this time though... LOL

Gunshot..
