Hi Everyone,

My grade card expires next month and I've been told I need to redo the ECS in order to renew it, anyone know where it can be done around Glasgow and how much?

Cheers.

dude, you have the INTERNET. Can this not be looked up? You will need to book the test in advance anyway, with perhaps a couple of months waiting list. When you book it and pay, they will send you a green book full of questions to which all the answers are 'ask your supervisor' and notify you of your date and location of test. It won't be far away.

Hope this helps.

Actually they don't send you the sample question booklet unless you fork out £2.50 for it, although it can be downloaded for free of the aforementioned internet.

Also you need to remember that a fire extinguisher is red, and if you discover a fire, raise the alarm and go to the fire muster point.

Yeah, I've looked on the "internet"? lol, Can't find much info on test centres or if it has to be done in house with an invigilator. I emailed th sjib so should hopefully hear back tomorrow, just seeing if anyone had done it recently around Glasgow.

As for the green book, I kept mine from 3 years ago!

Also, last time I did it it was in our office in Slough, don't fancy goin down there for a half hour test!

By the look of it you pay per assessment rather than per candidate - £40 for however many people.
Presumably an invigilator comes to you, ie a place of your choice. If you have to book a meeting room somewhere it might be worth getting together a load of people in the same situation so you can spread the cost.

Or find a medium to large company who are getting theirs done at around the same time, and wave £20 at them to jump in on theirs.

Just sat mine three weeks ago it was easy, phone select and thay can send someone out to your work 45 minutes to do 30 questions multiple choice. It was about £35
