Hi all

Doing an EICR on a basement flat, downlights throughout. Need work as all are connector block and taped, however none of them are fire rated.
I referred to the codebreaker book and it states it could justify a C2 (doesn't specify a flat, just the ground floor)
What is the general consensus? C2 or C3?

Thanks!

what is the ceiling and the floor above made from? is the floor above a separate occupancy?

Yes it is a separate property, wooden floors and beams (converted house)
then those downlights must be fire rated. end of. suggest JCC V50's if you have, or can make to, 70mm holes. the V50's come with a switch under the bezel to select warm or cool white, and are dimmable.
