If the child has the motivation to enquire whats under the cover,then manages to find the right tool to remove that cons unit cover,then further investigates by removing the bus bar cover,he is probably on course for a apprenticeship
^^^ This. I'm sure most of us have similar stories.
My interest started around the age of 9, when I'd buy & 'smuggle' flex and Duraplug connectors into my bedroom to make extension leads, which I took into school and used on the overhead projectors in assembly. Long before the days of ISITEE... anyway mine were better than the broken pattress boxes stuck to a piece of skirting board that the Maths teacher had made :cool:
 
Indirect contact is an old term no longer used in BS7671. It means getting a shock from something which in normal circumstances would not be live like the casing of a Class I appliance. The other term is direct contact which is obvious.
 
Don’t no why they felt the need to change it personally
It was to harmonise. So protection against direct contact is basic protection and protection against indirect contact is fault protection.

I'm still annoyed they chose to rename phase conductors line conductors though!
