Nope only RCD upfront is 500mA one which is still 100 ohms and circuits complyC2
Is there a 100mA upfront? Or are you asking?
It's likely needed as I imagine the Zs for circuits are too high.

^^^ This. I'm sure most of us have similar stories. If the child has the motivation to enquire whats under the cover, then manages to find the right tool to remove that cons unit cover, then further investigates by removing the bus bar cover,he is probably on course for a apprenticeship
Yes I did read that, but I don’t really understand the indirect contact? Can someone elaborateRegarding TT it's a c2 for socket outlets for protection against indirect contact by rcd if forming part of a TT installation as per bpg4 electrical safety first
Ahhhh I got you thanks, so still code accordingly?Indirect contact is an old term no longer used in BS7671. It means getting a shock from something which in normal circumstances would not be live like the casing of a Class I appliance. The other term is direct contact which is obvious.
Don’t no why they felt the need to change it personallyIndirect contact is an old term no longer used in BS7671. It means getting a shock from something which in normal circumstances would not be live like the casing of a Class I appliance. The other term is direct contact which is obvious.
It was to harmonise. So protection against direct contact is basic protection and protection against indirect contact is fault protection.Don’t no why they felt the need to change it personally
