Why not install a brand new board, get assessed, then put the old good one back. You will then have a brand new board for the next CU change which will simply have been tested.
All you'll lose this way is a bit of time. Everyone wins... :)

Better still put the old one back in for next years visit , then changeover again the following year

Well mark I did weigh up doing it for a mate but the saving grace of doing a already 17th compliant install is that there's no remedials and no worries (save the fire rating of the downlights in my living room)
eh?...
just caus it was done when the 17th edition came in doesn`t mean theres no remedials...
depends who did it in the first place....doesn`t it...
LOL....

You have my deepest sympathies regards being the QS of an Niceic firm lol

What is a "revisit" ?
Is there documented evidence of this rare event, it is believed it exists only in rumour,it may even rival the Yeti or Bigfoot whether it be fact or fiction

No,sorry,I have had a rethink, the Yeti or Bigfoot are in fact vague possibilities

As glenn said, i wouldn't work that way in thinking buddy. Could lead to a diaster.

Sorry mark maybe could of worded that better. further background info the whole installation is only 2 years old and after a visual and checking the previous eic and complete retesting following cu change there is less chance of the assessor highlighting something I might of overlooked. Again I'm very aware it's actually ÂŁ504 of MY money to get checked and trustmark and the choice of either potential minor remedials works or opening a can of worms round a mates in terms of main bonding, main earth, tails etc
But I'll happily open that can of worms after the assessment.... When he's paying me.... :)
