Considering registering with ELECSA and thought I'd see what people have to say about them.

Did their online registration form and was a bit surprised to see they want payment immediately, which put me off submitting it.

Any comments about them would be appreciated...

Been with them 3 years no problem with them at all... But... No to start the old argument again but I find a lot of my customers ask niceic.

The elecsa chap not naming names said that as nobody really recognises elecsa; put the new safety register logo on my paperwork as apparently some companies flick through quotes and weed out the Nic logo

Nic spent loads on advertising that's why

That's what I said to the chap I then asked him are elecsa planning on spreading the word through advertising etc and his response the best method of their advertising is through word of mouth through contractors which is ok but they need to do something

eh?...you can pay in 3 installments...its about £140 each each month...
upon final payment they will/should then give you an assessment date....

Thanks for that mate, I'll take another look at their website.

I was kind of expecting them to take my details, check I was legit, organise an assessment and then take payment. Wasn't expecting a box for my credit card number at the bottom of the initial enquiry form!

no...what they will do is arrange for 3 monthly payments (which can be done by direct debit)....after the final payment has cleared they will send you out details of available assessment dates....then its up to you to decide which one is best for you....

Been with ELECSA couple of years now and no problems at all with them. Though I have found that quite a few customers want you to be NECIEC registered ....... I just move on to the next job!!

Spoke to elecsa yesterday and they said there is no April 6th deadline so I will definitely join them when I have some work to be assessed also they only look at one job niceic want 2.
