you'll need a local electrician to visit and first of all, test to see if there is power to the unit. he can then try and find the fault, but it may require a service guy from the manufacturer

maybe the drive was too much for them

hum, what did you expect? They ONLY way to make a sensible judgement on your gates is to employ a local, competent company who specialise on gates.

You clearly don't understand that its simply NOT possible do diagnose an electrical or electronic problem by looking at a photo which only shows part of a system!

Hi prowan2,

As Merdoch has mentioned above, how do you expect us to find a fault on your gate system just from a picture. It's not that simple.
For a solution please read post 6.

Also I think that the reply from telectric in post 4 was great. Then again I'm not stressed out about my gates not working...

Dear prowan2, don't get annoyed, get data! i have messed about with a few of these yokes, usually of Spanish or Italian origin. This one does not look familiar, even upside-down! Does it control two motors? Have you got supply to the unit? Any squeaks, clicks or beeps? (My pals "non-working" gates, turned out to be de-clutched at actuator) Any manufacturer/model names? Give us a bit of info...and keep a sense of humour,my gates arnt' even gates, they're ajar...:stooge_curly:
