Electric screwdriver issue

I asked a guy to do this for me:

It almost works properly, but when I press the button fast or the screw is too tight not sure why but don’t rotate the head, feels like not enough power.

I suspect the overcurrent protection on the Li-Ion management board is being triggered by the motor starting current being above its threshold or one or more of the cells being high-resistance. Not all hacks work perfectly first time!

Is it possible to make it work with this setup what do you think?
