Hi, I am currently an apprentice at an electrical company that offers a wide variety of hands on experience, and I am learning a huge amount, at a very fast pace. My plans are to complete the Level 3 NVQ, complete 17th edition wiring regulations, complete the Test and Inspection course (which I am already preparing myself for) More to the case, after all that I would like to study the Electrical engineering HNC. I aim for progressing towards a job in the design sector of the electrical industry.
I would just like some feedback from people about the HNC. If possible, I would love to continue at work whilst studying the HNC via distance learning. I am a very determined person, and know I would be able to manage it through distance learning. I have heard of some people completing it in a year through distance learning, is this possible? Is there any vital information I should be aware of?

thanks,
Ryan Lee

You may need to do an onc first. They'll consider your application on qualifications and experience . If they do accept you on a hnc then they'll probably ask that you complete a bridging module first. Usually engineering mathematics. That's way beyond what sparks do. To get a taste, dig up.....differentiation.

Found the onc actually harder due to not ever having done anything like that before. The hnc was still challenging just be prepared for quadratic equations and j notation. The rest ain't too bad.
