Hi please can you someone explain what the noise means on and how to avoid this regarding the test instrument when conducting earth loop. the manuel says to turn off rcd function but this causes the rcd to trip then i not able to proceed with test either way. any help on this matter greatly appreciated.

What meter are you using? What are you trying to test? and where and under what conditions are you testing?
 
Hi 1shortcircuit i am using the kewtech kt65 i am testing the loop impeadance on sub board on a radial circuit all equipment disconected. the sub board at the moment is protected by 40amp 30ma rcd at main distribution housed with other circuits close to main generator.
