Hi, after a bit of advice. I'm thinking of a winter project and would like to make an electronic cricket scoreboard for a team I play for. I'd like to keep it relatively simple, I was thinking of a system where you press a button and it adds a number. I'd Probaly need 8 separate tiles each one would be programmed 0-9. Each tile would measure approximately 8 x 8 inches. Has anybody done anything similar or can point me to a decent supplier? I might abandon the idea if it's too expensive. Thanks for your time. Tim

Display Electronics do some ex-BR 7-segment mechanical digital clock modules. Price is £30 each, but they're big (10" high) and very visible. I think that this price is without the drive electronics, but there's more info on the site. They also do complete 6 digit clocks. The website is a bit hard to navigate, but worth persevering.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll check them out and let you know how I'm getting on. Could be that it will take too much time but I'd like to try. I was looking at led modules but a bit clueless about the driver programmers etc.. if nothing else it will be a learning experience!!
