emergency light

Hi guys

i would like to use an emergency light in a cupboard to illuminate the CU in the advent of a power faiure, i would also like this light as a general purpose light to illuminate rest of cupboard.

do i need a certain type of light?

Is there any special way of wiring this light?

Hi

You need a combination maintained and non-maintained unit.

Maintained side of the light can be wired into a switch as normal, the non-maintained side should go into the same circuit as the lights i.e. permenent live.
