Dormouse

Last week the light on the switch wouldn't light up so I replaced the fuse. Since then the rocker switch started playing up and it would only light when in mid way position. Tonight it wouldn't light at all and when I removed the fuse, it was all burnt inside. I have inserted a new fuse and it works but I guess I ought to replace the front of the unit. I have purchased the following from Amazon and would like to check if you (ie: qualified electrician) think it is OK? The fuse is 13amp and I understand I probably need to turn off the electric from the main trip switch to change it (even if I don't need to, I'd feel safer!)

Many thanks

If I was in your shoes, I would get an Electrician in to have a look, before you get hurt, wont cost much

also, if it's on it's own circuit with 16A OCPD, the a 20A D/P switch with neon would be a better option. as methuselah^^^^^ said. get a local electrician to sort ot for you.

There is no probably about it you will at least need to turn off the circuit and should be locked off to ,this is to prevent re energizing I would do as Pete and tel have recommended and get in a qualified spark

Some three years later ....... thank you, I did and I live to tell the tale! Better harassed than dead or badly injured.
