on detectors/BG is EOL device connected across N and L in?
also does polarity matter, its got a red leg and black leg

on sounders is the resistor just connected on L an N

im using a 4 zone new esp conventional panel, its been a whle since i last did one

EOL monitors connected to detectors should be connected to out connections (This enables monitoring of final detector head, and will send fault signal to panel if removed). Not sure if polarity is important, but i would always have Red +, Black -.

Yes, Sounder resistor is connected accross L + N (+ & -).

between fire panel and cu i have a red unswitched spur

i am right in using 1.5 TE from cu to spur
FP cable from spur to panel

or does it matter???

I am not fully educated on FA regulations.

However, my understanding is that the power supply to FA panel needs to be fire rated all the way back to distribution board, as is often recommended to be connected to first distribution board at intake position.

The isolation should also be a key operated switch with neon. I usually use MK K963KOALM.

Personally, I don't understand the purpose of fire rated power supply cable as the FA panel has backup batteries and in the event of a fire, the supply cables (meter tails) would breakdown and disconnect the supply.
