Hi Chaps
Thanx to everyone who sorted me out with the last query . on to the next.
I have been asked to install a second two way switch in friends hall way. The existing switch is just inside the front door and controls the hall and landing lights as normal , what she would like is a secondary switch at the other end of the hall that will also control upstairs and downstairs hall/landing lights and be turned off from the landing switch . What im basically saying is each switch must be must turn on or off upstairs or downstairs lights independently of the others. I have drawn how i think it should be but can any one point me in the direction a diagram for this operation . Thank you for your time .

So you want to add an intermediate switch?

Post your drawing so we can have a look.

If your looking to have 3 switch positions for each light (3 for landing light, 3 for hall light) then i think you'll find you need to use 2 intermediate gridswitches in the circuit aswell as 2x 2gang2way light switches...then workout the wiring inbetween within your diagram.
