Extractor Fan Installation Help!

Hi All,

Need some help with a simple extractor fan install.
Our extractor fan started making a lot of noise so i bought a replacement and mounted it in the same place. Ive wired it the same as the previous one too. However it doesnt seem to work at all. This extractor fan can be wired up to use the timer but as mine is on its own switch, i wasnt planning on using it. Please check the picture and if possible, tell me what im doing wrong. As you can tell, i am a massive novice when it comes to electrics.

Ir appears you have bought a fan with a run on timer, when you originally had a standard fan.

Fan won't run until the switch line is powered

You need to run a loop wire from live to switch live so that the fan could work

As above just needs a link wire between L and Ls.

Put a link between black and gray and fit some cpc sleeve

Put a link between black and gray and fit some cpc sleeve

and terminate cpc into a single choc block or wago.

Just in case you don't know: for cpc read earth, bare copper wire exposed on the grey supply cable.
