Hi,

Does anybody have any tips or tricks on how to find where a break in electric UFH cables.

I was thinking of using a tone generator and hoping to trace the tone until it stops.

Thanks

had a client once, lots of electric ufh laid under a posh marble floor and busted insulation readings after job done. he called helpline provided by manufacturer, they came out with I believe a high voltage source and a FLIR camera, spotted the fault in no time, one floor tile got lifted, they repaired the faulty bit with some special splices..

One of our very regular customers does a fault finding service, he tends to use a Thermal Imaging camera and then pinpoint the break from the cold spot in the cable.
