Looking at getting one of these, but anyone compared Fein and Bosch equivilent? I haven't used a Bosch one, but looks a bit cheaper. I'd appreciate any feedback if its as good as the Fein or not.

I have the Bosch, its s88t hot. You pays your money and takes your chances. I have never used the Fein, but i am aware that is regarded as the dogs.

Cheers............Howard

I got mine from Aldi. £29.99 with 3 blades and a 3 year warranty!! It does the job I need it to do.... Lifting boards and cutting plasterboard.

Use the Bosch and have no complaints, except the price of the blades.
They are pricey and can wear out pretty quick if you are not careful, (nails and the like).
Has any one found the best/cheapest place to get blades?

I have the Bosch multi and use it all the time and love it there are sellers on eBay that sell the Bosch blades at a reasonable price.

Given up on the Fein - I can't justify the extra cost. Between the Bosch and Milwaukee 12v plenty of both on ebay, blades also.

Company on the web called 'Shark Blades' do them at a reasonable price.

Cheers,
Lofty.

Just a quick heads up for would be purchasers. You may find there are web-browser page rendering issues with Shark Blades website. Last time I used Shark Blades site, I was only actually able to purchase anything if I used Internet Explorer as my browser, for a committed Firefox user this was tantamount to treason. Also, I have never been able to get Shark Blades to respond to any of my Emails. However, the blades are good quality at a better price than buying from the OEM.

Got bosch version myself and it has been a god send on the job i'm on at the moment. So much so the plumber has even ordered one and he i a skin flint.
just ordered some blades from axminster over the web, they also do multi packs. So they work out cheaper the more you buy.

My first Fein caught fire!!!!!!!

Waved it around on site by its flex, a flamming fire ball!!!!!!

That said I have bought another one, as stated buy your blades elswhere, I use shark blades.

I dont think I could do with out it now!!!

Got the Bosch (240v), really handy piece of kit. Would have gone for battery powered but after cutting several back box holes in 30mm floor boards I'd have spent more time waiting for the batteries to charge, just can't use it on site.

One of my favourite tools that has it's own special place in my heart... :)

I've got the Fein Multimaster. I think it's great. The main difference between that and the others is the quick change lever mechanism for changing the blades (All the others use an allen screw like the original Fein) The sockets round off and you could easily lose the allen key.

Not quite true, the bosch GOP300 is a lever type.
