set of VDE drivers, side cutters ( CK with the stripping holes are a good buy if you are just starting out), pump pliers, junior hacksaw, lump hammer, claw hammer. after that, ask your boss what he expects you to have and what he will supply you with. and FFS don't take a neon screwdriver to work. if one comes with a set of drivers, bin it.

OP, you will also need a bag of spare bubbles for the spirit level and a quarter of buttered overies.
 
You'll need to be careful which screwdrivers you buy - right or left handed - obviously dependant on yourself.
 
thougfht it depended on the thread. the one on the screw, not the forum.
