Whilst waiting for assesment can you just take on all the jobs that come in and select one major and one minor for inspection or do you do just the 2 jobs and await assesment.

Chicken egg syndrome

Bear in mind that the `major` job you need to complete should be a notifiable one - & strictly to the letter, you should notify LABC (in advance i.e - prior to starting)

Taking a chance on not notifying one job is one thing - doing lots would be asking for trouble IMHO. Think about the consequences in the event of not being successfull

& depending on which assessment body you`ve selected (& the individual inspector) the fact you`ve elected not to notify may even be an issue

Minor works - no problem. Do as many of these as you can. It`ll help...

Doesn't have to be freebies in your friends or families houses, minor work is non-notifiable.

You could go out to a customers house and install a new socket in the lounge for instance, get paid for it and use that for your assessment, with their permission of course.

The large job is notifiable, but you could do a board change in your own house.

Best you get accustomed to what is notifiable and what's not, including special locations etc.

Hope that helps:D
