Evening all. I have a job coming up to replace all the white accessories with flat plate screwless ones. I haven't used these before, just wanted any heads up from anyone who has. Is there anything special I need to do or any problems I might experience?

Just replaced a load with GET/Schneider screwless flatplate. No problems with existing backboxes. Costly stuff, but classy. Simple job.

I try and talk my customers out of them! They look great the first time they go click.....see what they look like after they've been off and back on a few times.

Thanks guys. She has bought all the stuff already. Can't wait til Wednesday then! I can only prey it's not gonna be a ball breaker I suppose!

if you have to take a switch on and off a few times, you must have a problem.

So you don't believe in periodic testing and inspection, then?

Do not loose the 3.5mm pins supplied as they are flat head to fit into the recess of theplate If you use countersunk pins the faceplates do not fit on.
35mm back boxes are nice but not essential
perfect flat walls are essential!

stay clear of wandsworth if you can, they look great, but are a pain in the arse if you ask me, on the flip side stay clear of cheap she ite

and they looked ok? i always find flate plate looks crap sitting proud on the flanges of a fast fix box
Dot and dab walls with metal boxes fixed so no probs there. They are stood off slightly with clear gaskets which could help with fastafix.
