Has anyone here fitted a commercial kitchen style fly zapper light into their own kitchen? I'm so fed up with all the flies this year I'm considering fitting one, just wondered how effective they actually are.

Count the dead flies stuck to it to know how effective they are.

Several dozen cooking flies doesn’t smell so good, and you might be put off by the crackling noise they give off.

We had one in our kitchen for about a week, it tended to blow the fly bits everywhere when they exploded from the zap, bits of fly juice all over the place! We have gone back to sticky fly papers they are much quieter! And don't blow bits all over the kitchen!

The sticky things are good they actually work
We use those already, have found the fixing circlips on LED's make for excellent hangers! Trouble is just the sheer quantity of the damn things - we live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by livestock
