Hi

I am going to look at a job that my mate (a builder) is doing and he has asked me to look at the electrics as the owner wants a few things doing. He says that there is a cable going to an outside light from within the house but i am wondering how i should wire the light that they want for the garage (only one switch and light required) sockets are fine as have access to JB.

Thanks in advance for replies

Sockets are fine I take to mean that there is a socket in the garage If so

Wire the light off the socket with a switched fused spur that will act as the light switch with a 3 amp fuse
