Garden Room

Hi Guys,

We're having a garden Room built soon and want to have lighting and sockets in there. Any advice would be welcome.

Is the garden room detached from the house? If so, how far from the consumer unit? Ideally, your electrician will run a separate circuit or possibly a sub main with a small consumer unit in the garden room. Involve your electrician from the start. If you offer to dig any trench required and backfill, you’ll be liked and save a few quid.

The options may be limited to your existing wiring and consumer unit loading...
