With the length and the amperage I would use THWN or THHN which is the same type of wire and the size would be #2 wire. I’m curious of why you would want just 120vac to the pole barn when you could install a panel in your barn and pull 100 amp 240vac service to that. It would also have to be in conduit which PVC is the cheapest. That’s a lot of work for just 120vac. Something to think on. Good luckCan anyone help me with this?

stokes I was talking about copper I never use aluminum, it’s double the size and bending it is a nightmare especially 4/0. Good luckI guess I should have asked copper or Aluminum?
