Hi all, is anyone familiar with the following generator: genset supersilenced MGK20/55 SS?
I have been asked to inspect and test some portacabins, which are to be supplied from this generator.
I have never had any dealings with generators before and am completely unfamiliar with them. There are various protective devices installed on the generator but i am having difficulty identifying them as they are behind a opaque rubber shield and the generator is fixed inside a portacabin with very little space around it. Cant look directly at the front control panel.
All of the portacabins and site caravans are prewired with there own consumer units and have 30mA main switches.
Any help/guidance much appreciated

Looks like you have a Thermadyne set, which has a 63A RCD on it's output. Don;t know if it's fixed or variable on your model. As a new member the site won't let me post a link to the manual, but if you Google the model number you will find it on the genset.co.uk site. Hope this helps
Jerry
