A customer asked me to install a foolproof way of making sure his generator is running at the right speed.
The single phase generator is located on a farm and is connected to a tractor by a pto shaft. Previously they set the tractor at around 1000rpm and went and checked that the lights were working! the problem arose when some numpty came along and revved the tractor too high and then damaged the milking parlour electronics.
I have been on other farms and seen an orange light mounted on an outside wall at tractor eye level, the light flashes and when the correct voltage is reached the light goes solid. Been looking on the net and cant find what im looking for, anyone know where to get one? and how will it be connected. Thanks
