HI all,

so another ‘getting started’ one I’m afraid.
Basically I was made redundant from my job with an airline this week. Whilst working towards / saving for My pilot Licences. Given the current climate and outlook for the foreseeable i want to get into a solid career In something else I enjoy.

I’ve looked Into and done some research on courses and how to get the required qualifications eg the tradeskills4u level 2 or level 2/3 2365 course where you finish with
Electrical installation work within a domestic dwelling (C&G 4141-01), Part P building regs (C&G 2393), Inspection & testing course (C&G 2392-10), wiring regulations (C&G 2382)
Plus the advanced domestic stuff and your level 2.

given these courses aren’t cheap and they’d be a pretty big investment I’d like some advice from people who have gone down this route compared to an Apprenticeship and been able to find a job whilst on the course or upon finishing. I’m 27 and would need to work around the course initially so a 2-4 year apprenticeship probably wouldn’t be the best fit for me.

Any advice is really appreciated.

TL;DR
I need help on how to get employed after training at 27
