Is anybody on here on the books with an architect who passes work on to you (and probably several others) for providing quotes? If so, how did you get on the books and how are you finding it? I was thinking of writing letters/emails but I am unsure of what to put at the minute.

I am mainly looking at new build houses/flats and small-medium commercial work.

I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Ben

Hey.

I'll be honest with you mate unless your NICEIC approved contractor then most architects and local authorities wont even give you the time of day, or at least that's what it's like in my neighbourhood.

Are you?? For whatever reason they all seem to think that NIC is be all and end all which I think is a bit blinkered as there is more than one organisation to be a member of with equally high standards for enrolement and continued membership.
