Just started up on my own.
Iv dropped my card into letting agents/local camp sites/pestered every builder i no.
Iv had a bit of work for friends but this is drying up.
Any words of wisdom?

You could try the old 'garage trick' of offering "free safety checks" to hoik them in which is your excuse to go around the customer's house looking for work to do.
Or you could drive around housing estates knocking on doors offering to do electrical work there and then for cash.

Other than that you could try an advert in the local paper, newsagent's window, local trusted tradesman scheme etc.

every house you go into rub your hands in the muc before you go in, and touch there white sockets and switches, make up few offer deals for your local paper ie. 'always fancied those lovely spotlights well dont delay call today ,bogof by 1 get 1 free

find a nice brand new housing estate with external meter boxes!! drop a flyer with emergency electrician on through the door during the week, then at night fall randomly go around and knock the REC DP isolators off and wait for the calls!!

chancers are they will probbaly have put your leaflet on bench and thats the first thing they will pick up when they have no google / yell.com / lights!!!

WINNER!
