Hello,

Introducing myself, I'm a 23 year old lad serving my final week with the British Army, just about to start an apprenticeship involving the fitting of industrial variable speed drives.

Pretty much my first 'trade' job so I'm pretty keen to start. I consider myself a pretty quick learner with my head screwed on tight, so hopefully I should get on ok.

Just posting to say hello, and also asking for any advice or heads up for my first day (which is next week) so I can make a decent impression. As I'm not mega keen on the idea of getting in touch with my new boss and asking crap questions.

What can I expect from the first few days? Also, as bone as it sounds, what the hell do I wear on the first day? Being in the army, that area always came pretty easy, and I don't fancy turning up looking like a complete knobber!

Thanks for any info or tips and sorry about the crap Q's...

Cheers all!
