Ok, but this was obstructing the loft hatch. Not hidden in the slightest. And obvious but okay then! Not an issue.
It was more to point out the bad work, not the EICR. Although i heard the guy who signed it didnt even go to the house before signing it

plus the fact that an earth is joined to a blue ( neutral ) ?

Yes....that was the point. The neutrals for most of these lights are twisted and taped into earth singles. I was looking for an earth and decided to look at the lights. There are no cpc's on any lighting circuits. And class I fixings iused, with earths connected that go to nowhere. Just wanted to show the picture because I was quite shocked to see such a mess

does that mean I win a prize for spotting it

its easy to miss this sort of thing one would need to remove all of the insu too see the clear picture same as the floor its imposs too get a true pic

Maybe in some cases, but as I say all this wiring and the rest of the lights where strewn across to loft, no boards covering them, on top of all insulation. The picture is upside down for some reason but when I lifted the loft hatch it was obstructed by this. I would have taken more pictures if I knew it would be disregarded as lack of access
