Anyone thinking of taking the plunge with this? I know MEP has but I was wondering if any others were looking at taking some training? If so, have you seen any good prices/reviews of courses?

Yes I have and I lost my head with it now did the course ! now the Portfolio as been updated so I am lost now with it all , had to start again nightmare ... I know if Idont get it done soon it will update again ,

I was the first of 12 on it now I wish I waited a while feel like I need to sit the course again to be honest with you guys.

I did it here ..

Energy Assessment Training, Awards Centre, Consultancy - Magma Enterprises

Based in Fleet Hampshire, about two miles from M3.

Did DEA and NDEA with them as well at other times.

Not the cheapest courses on the market but if you do your homework in the evenings , they provide you with all of the projects and portfolios and a log on to the RDSAP GD system and the exams in the week.
They also do the recorded interview. When you leave on the Friday you are done, subject to external audit which takes about a week.

Premier Inn and travelodge all within two miles, the training is in a listed stately home, lunch is provided.

Done three courses with them, never had any issues.

hey guys remember I was the first to pass the GDA exam haaaa aarrrr so I gonna hit home on that !!

... but was it worth it? I like being first when there's no risk but I still struggle to see the benefit of being a GDA at the minute. £60 a pop for GDAs = lots of surveys before it's paid back and I remember the cost of pv training dropping by about 75% after the first year. I'd rather build a relationship woth someone local doing GDA's and pay a referral fee.

Time will tell - I'm sitting tight but I've got to admire your b**s MEP :smiley2: I hope it works out for you.

haaa arrr . Well I am mainly doing the GDA for myself at the moment , not sure which way to go with it . I would considering being a independent GDA and doing the occupancy assessment for a fee. but I will work that one out soon
